It was the best place to grow up. Growing up as a child I remember not living in the safest of places. Living in Minnetonka can be a little pricey, however the location truly outweighs the price which makes everything worth it. This aside, it is a relatively safe place and many people come here to raise families.Shoreview is a great place to live and settle in. People of all types reside, so there is equality for all. Not to mention the 17 bus from Uptown to Hopkins runs consistently.Of all the potential commutes to have moving into the region, this one of the easiest ones to be carfree if you really want to.If you want to be car-free I'd recommend just taking the 12 bus from Uptown to Hopkins with your bike and then bike the remaining distance to your job.On average, people's work commute only accounts for 20% of their weekly trips, so if you want to minimize driving I'd strongly suggest Uptown.edit: reviewing the 12 map, it looks like it goes right to my office.I might get flak on this sub but Hopkins is actually a really nice burb and is pretty walkable compared to most.
