Many films of the silent era have been lost. Born out of a fascination for the construction that is Hollywood, and by extension ‘the perfect Hollywood home’, the maker embodies three actresses from Hollywood’s golden era and their so-called private lives. Fragments: Surviving Pieces of Lost Films (TV Movie 2011) cast and crew credits, including actors, actresses, directors, writers and more. In this setting, the maker of the film recalls memories of growing up in her childhood home.The film summarizes the origin and development of animated film at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries It plays “house” and the inhabitants are speaking Hollywoodian. The program is rounded out with interviews of film preservationists involved in identifying and restoring these films.
