The Townsend Collection embodies classic American elegance and finesse. Delivery was very prompt, even before the stated delivery date. I give this pen 2 stars because it is pretty and fits my hand well, but I am not happy!

A really nice pen. Unfortunately the pain has already started chipping and I have only used for 2 weeks!!
Update: I love this pen however the finish on this pen has began to bubble and peel on the cap and the barrel of the pen has developed and orange peel effect. I am not pushing the top down with force or in any other way using the pen in an inappropriate manner that would create this marking. It's not a light pen, but for that reason it's great to write with as there is a reassuring weight behind it.
I love this pen. The price I bought it at (£110) was worth it for the Rhodium nib alone. A good present. Looks lovely but it's slipped through quality control. I started using the pen and took the top off to expose the writing tip. It came in a very smart box with papers and cartridges but beware on thing - mine was boxed with the WRONG convertor for bottled ink. Free returns are available for the shipping address you chose. The pen itself seems very nice with an excellent finish.

With a pen this nice, I just don't see the need for something like a Montblanc unless you just want it for status. Be very careful in reading and knowing what pen you buy. I got this pen as a gift from my husband on my first job in the US and I love it. I note there is a similar review on another Amazon site about the lack of alignment with the barrel, so my experiece is not isolated one. It looks so posh and the feel of it is incredible. This is a beautiful and well-made writing instrument and a pleasure to write with.
